I still dont understand the whole assignment? What is it actually about? please can someone explain!

For this writing assignment you must understand that you are to write from the point of view of an attorney speaking directly to the jury (Victorian citizens) trying to convince them that Hyde is either guilty or innocent. Just as with any other writing, you need to craft an introductory and closing statement that is both powerful and captivating. The middle of your writing/speech should reveal your reasons for Hyde's innocence (separated by paragraphs). Inside each body paragraph remember that you need to fully support the reasons by recalling all of the evidence, witnesses, and other facts that help prove your point of view. Try watching some courtroom TV dramas or view some youtube clips of courtroom closing statements in order to get a feel for the language and phrases that are common in this type of writing/speech. This will help to give your writing authenticity.
